Hope Elizabeth Scott and Matthew Russel West, both of Kearney, Nebraska, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the bride-to-be are Kerry and JoHanna Scott of McCook, Nebraska. Grandparents are Nellie Ryan of Cambridge, Nebraska, the late James Ryan and Gary Scott and Elsie Reiners of Indianola, Nebraska.
Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Robert Jr. and Camie West of Elm Creek, Nebraska. Grandparents are Dale and Janet Pohlmann of Kearney. Great-grandparent s is Dorothy Pohlmann of Lincoln, Nebraska.
The bride-to-be graduated from Arapahoe Public School in 2009. She is a student at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and will graduate in December 2013 with a B.A. degree in education.
The prospective bridegroom graduated from Elm Creek Public School in 2009. He is a student at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and will graduate in Decemeber of 2013 with a B.A. degree in science with a minor in military science. He will continue his education at physical therapy school.
An Aug. 4, 2012, wedding is planned at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola.
