Southwest Nebraska Leadership Class selected

McCOOK, Nebraska -- The Southwest Nebraska Leadership Institute Board of Directors has selected class members for the 2012-13 year.

Twenty individuals were selected from 30 applications.

The Leadership Institute Class of 2011-12 will include the following individuals from the business community: Sharon Bohling, McCook High School; Phillip Corey, First Financial Merchant Services; Christi Evans, Golden Plains Realty; Chrystal Evans, McCook Community College; Tacie Fawver, McCook Area Chamber of Commerce; Jeff Hancock, City of McCook; Jean Hester, KRD Credit; Theron Jarecke, J Distributing LLC; Mike Long, Wal-Mart Supercenter; Ben Pestel, McCook National Bank; Carol Schlegel, Red Willow County Visitors Committee; Ray Walter, Retired; Kerri Waugh, Nebraska Bull Service; Pat Weskamp; Weskamp Floral & Gifts; Sean Wolfe, Community Hospital and Gary Wolvin, AmFirst Bank, N.A.

Students from McCook High School include Mack Alspaugh and Brenleigh Daum. Students from Southwest High School include Kimberly Lord and Cassa McConville.

Class members attended an orientation on Wednesday, May 16, at the Keystone Business Center from 4-6 p.m. where they learned details about the upcoming year and the retreat to Lincoln in the Aug 6 and 7.
