Korte, Schoenemann married

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Whitney Korte and Michael Schoenemann, both of McCook, Nebraska, were united in marriage Sept. 2, 2011, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook, with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating.

Parents of the bride are Dave and Deb Korte of McCook. Grandparents are Bill Sitzman of Culbertson, Nebraska and the late Sharon Sitzman.

Parents of the bridegroom are Stan and Paula Schoenemann and Rhonda Schoenemann, all of Crawford, Nebraska. Grandparent is Grethe Schoenemann.

Maid of Honor was Staci Moore of Cambridge, Nebraska. Bridemaids were Leslie Lee of Imperial, Nebraska, Shannon Tegeler of Tilden, Nebraska and Tausha Wilson of McCook.

The bride's personal attendant was Kris Hanchera of Danbury, Nebraska.

The best man was Adam Johnson of McCook. Bridegroomsmen were Lance Korte, brother of the bride, of McCook, Melvin Oldaker of Burwell, Nebraska and Steve Renner of McCook.

Flower girls were Rhegan Sitzman, cousin of the bride, of Hugo, Colorado, and Peyton Osmotherly, niece of the bridegroom, of Crawford. Ring bearer was Logan Sitzman, cousin of the bride, of Hugo, Colorado.

Ushers were Kyle Wamsley of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, Craig Wamsley of Cambridge, Justin Davis of McCook, and Bob Witte of Aurora, Colorado.

Guest book and program attendants were Aunna Kunkel and Lindy Marchese, both cousins of the bride and both from Lincoln, Nebraska.

Vocalist was Katie West of McCook. Organist was Sheryl Havens, also of McCook.

A reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Red Willow Community Building in McCook. Host couples were Dennis and Cora Berry, Marc and Patti Harpham and Rick and Julie Metcalf, all of McCook.

The couple honeymooned this past March in Jamaica.

The bride graduated from McCook High School in 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing in Kearney, Nebraska. She is employed at McCook Community Hospital as an registered nurse.

The bridegroom graduated from Crawford High School in 2003. He attended Casper College in Wyoming and earned a degree in fire science. He also attended McCook Community College where he played basketball and obtained his paramedic license. He works at the McCook Fire Department as a firefighter/paramedic and also works as a Flight Paramedic for EagleMed as a registered nurse.

The couple resides in McCook.
