McCOOK, Nebraska -- Sharon Wagner, age 69 passed away April 24, 2012 at Hillcrest Nursing Home.

Sharon was born March 11, 1943, to Harry and Lucille (Choate) Frick in McCook. She graduated from Culbertson High School in 1961 and then went on to McCook Beauty Academy.

She married George L. Wagner in Culbertson on Dec. 2, 1962. To this union two girls were born, Sheila Marie and Penny Lee.

Sharon was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson.

Sharon was a Girl Scout and 4-H club leader and would always volunteer for her children's events. She loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed making crafts and planting a large vegetable garden. When she was younger she canned the vegetables that she grew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Wanda Wagner; brothers-in-law, Jim Screen and Richard Wagner; and sister-in-law, Dian Simpson.

She is survived by her husband, George of McCook; daughters, Sheila Miller and husband, Michael and their son, Jeromy of North Platte and Penny Johnson and husband, Kip and their daughter, Abby of McCook; step-mother, Hulda Frick of Indianola; brother, Elmer Frick and wife, Leann of McCook; brother-in-law, Duane Wagner and wife, Denie of Culbertson; step-brother, Dean Michel and wife, Kay of Denver; sister-in-law, Phillis Screen of Oberlin; step-sister, Iva Behnke and husband, Jerry of Indianola; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorials may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Hendricks officiating. Cremation will take place after the service and inurnment will be in the Culbertson Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1-- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
