Defendants plead not guilty
McCOOK, Nebraska -- Several defendants entered not guilty pleas, April 2, in Red Willow County District Court.
A McCook woman pleaded not guilty to a Class III felony charge of distribution of a controlled substance. A motions hearing was scheduled in the case against the woman, 42-year-old Sheila K. Sain of 13 South Street, for 11:30 a.m. on May 16, 2012.
Another McCook woman pleaded not guilty to one Class III felony charge of second degree forgery. The charge against the woman, 38-year-old Rhonda L. Marsh of 902 East E Street, stems from a December 2011 incident in which she allegedly cashed a $1,400 check on the account of Collier Transportation at First National Bank of Omaha.
A motions hearing was scheduled in Marsh's case for 1:30 p.m. on May 16, 2012.
A McCook man pleaded not guilty to a Class IV felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, as well to an infraction for possession for drug paraphernalia. A motions hearing was scheduled for the man, 32-year-old Travis L. Hanes of 409 East Fourth Street, for 1:30 p.m. on May 16, 2012.
