Area Democrats to caucus

WAUNETA, Nebraska -- Nebraska Democrats are encouraged to join their neighbors across the state Saturday, April 14, for a conversation at the Nebraska Democratic Presidential Caucus.

This caucus is how Nebraska officially pledges its support for President Obama for the 2012 National Convention.

Anyone wishing to be a delegate to the Nebraska State Convention or a National Convention Delegate must participate in their local caucus.

Red Willow County Democrats will caucus at the Heritage Senior Center, West Fifth and M in McCook, with check-in and registration at 10:30 a.m. The caucus will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and discussion at noon.

Chase, Dundy and Hitchcock County Democrats will host a combined local caucus in Wauneta.

That caucus will be Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. MT/3 p.m. CT in the south meeting room of the Wauneta Senior Center located at 231 N. Tecumseh Ave in downtown Wauneta.
