McCOOK, Nebraska -- Youth who are interesting in joining the 4-H program in Red Willow County are reminded to get their enrollment paper work completed by the Monday, April 2 deadline. Youth who are ages 8 to 19 by January 1, 2012 are eligible to join the 4-H program either through a traditional 4-H club or as an independent member. There are a wide variety of projects, activities and service learning activities that youth can participate in. Those who participated in the program last year and want to again are also asked to return their enrollment forms by the April 2 deadline.
Youth can participate in the Clover Kids program if they are ages 5 to 7 by January 1. This noncompetitive program encourages young children to learn by doing through projects and activities. Enrollment for Clover Kids is also due by the April 2 deadline.
Enrollment forms are due to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension in Red Willow County at 1400 West 5th Street in McCook by April 2.
