Chinese delegates from the Chinese Education Association for International Exchange check out a welder at McCook Community College's Center for Applies Science and Technology Friday. A total of 15 professors and teachers from vocational colleges in China will spend the entire month in the U.S., touring different colleges. Chinese vocational colleges are typically three years, said Benjamin, and in the future may try an exchange program with a U.S college. Chinese students who finish up their vocational training in the United States typically start at a higher pay rank back in their homeland. The delegates to McCook said they were impressed with MCC's campus, noting the modern facilities such as the library. Vocations represented by the delegation to McCook included nursing, transportation/railroad, information technology and International Student Exchange.
