Long horns, long shadows

Mason Nelms' longhorn steers Brenin and Dale soak up the sunshine late Monday afternoon in a pasture west of Indianola, Nebraska. Mason said the pair is halter broke and was tame enough to lead through Indianola's Old Settlers parade last summer. The steers will be three years old this spring.
