NEWTON, Kansas -- Brea Ranee Waechter of Emporia, Kansas, and Brian Lee Schultz of Hesston, Kansas, were united in marriage Oct. 29, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Newton, Kansas with the Rev. James Mainzer officiating.

The bride's parents are Leo Waechter, Jr. and Tresa Peterson-Johnson, both of Emporia. Her grandparents are the late Leo Waechter, Sr. and the late Rose Waechter, Robert Peterson of Emporia and the late Marjorie Reed.

The bridegroom's parents are Jefferey and Diane Schultz of Hesston. His grandparents are the late Milford Schultz and the late Annabelle Schultz and Robert Andrews of Cambridge and the late Connie Andrews.

S'Kylan Russell of Emporia, was the man of honor.

Bridesmaids were Melissa Brisa Waechter, sister of the bride, of Emporia and Melissa Bean of Lyndon, Kansas.

The bride's personal attendant was Eric Johnson and JoAnn Woods, both of Emporia.

The best man was Matthew Koehn of Arkansas City, Kansas.

Bridegroomsmen were Dylan Jones of Newton, Kansas, and Kevin Schultz, brother of the bridegroom, of Hesston.

The flower girl was Savannah Davis, niece of the bride, of Lyndon. The ring bearer was Landon Bird, cousin of the bride, of El Dorado, Kansas.

Ushers were Bryce Waechter, brother of the bride, of Olathe, Kansas, Aron Johnson, step-brother of the bride, of Overland Park, Kansas, and Andrew Neels, cousin of the bridegroom, of Dunbar, Nebraska.

Altar servers were Brandon Andrews and Jared Andrews, cousins of the bridegroom, of Holbrook, Nebraska. The cross bearer was Seth Andrews, cousin of the bridegroom, of Holbrook.

Guestbook attendants were Tiffany Webb, cousin of the bride, of El Dorado.

The organist was Stephen Koerner of Newton.

The reception hostess was Barbara Neels, aunt of the bridegroom, of Dunbar. Reception attendants were Dawn Andrews of Holbrook, Max Funkey of Hastings, Aron Johnson of Overland Park, Ellen Neels of Dunbar, Timothy Webb of Emporia, and Alexandra Zysset of Hastings.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Emporia High School. The bridegroom is 2003 graduate of Hesston High School and has a bachelor of science degree in business from Emporia State University.

The couple will reside in Newton, Kansas.
