Friday, December 9, 2011

McCOOK, Nebraska -- The McCook School Board of Education will hear a presentation on the former Nebraska Army National Guard Armory building the school district has purchased, at its regular meeting Monday night, 6 p.m. at the Junior High Conference room.

The building was purchased for $82,500 in September and after renovation, the district plans to use it for bus storage, classes for LIFT alternative education classes and the gym for practices.

The board will also hear a report on the hail damage to the district's buildings.

Under New Business, board members will be asked to approve:

* to surplus one hot water engine parts washer

* the resignation of Sharon Bohling, Senior High Librarian

* approval of a teaching contract

The board will also hear reports from the Negotiations Committee and the Finance Committee.

After the regular meeting, the board will close in Executive Session, to protect public interest, concerning discussion on the sale of district properties.
