Officials of the University of Nebraska, the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture and Sampson Construction celebrate the completion and dedication of the new Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center on the NCTA campus in Curtis, Nebraska, Friday afternoon. Ronnie Green, vice president of Agriculture and Natural Resources/University of Nebraska, told those gathered for the ceremony that valuable contributions to the world's peace and prosperity center on agriculture, and Nebraska is centered on agriculture. Nebraska is blessed, he said, because it has the natural resources and the people to meet the world's need to more than double food production in the next 35-40 years. "There is no more noble cause and no greater profession than to feed people," Green said. "That's what we'll do with the young people who study and graduate here." John Sampson, president of Sampson Construction, Omaha -- the general contractor for the new ag industry learning center -- presented site supervisor Dick Almquist of Axtell, who was site supervisor for the new learning facility, with his company's prestigious "Builder of the Year" award.
