Larry Clifford Vice

LAVISTA, Nebraska --Larry was born in Brownville, Nebraska. He graduated from Auburn High School, Peru State College, Michigan State University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Larry taught school in Lawrence and McCook. He was employed by the State Department of Education and retired from Educational Service Unit No. 3 as a director.

Larry was a long-time supporter of thoroughbred horse racing in Nebraska and enjoyed the company of other racing enthusiasts at Ak-Sar-Ben and Horsemen's Park in Omaha.

He was preceded in death by parents, Clifford Andrew "Babe" and Lola Gertrude; brother, Darrell Dean Vice.

Survived by wife, Juanita; stepdaughter, Kari Sigerson and husband, Dirk Kaufman and their daughter Eva Belle, all of New York, New York; sisters: Melva Sage of Brownville, Nebraska, Janice Keller of Onawa, Iowa, Marilyn Blex (Jim) of Nemaha, Nebraska; brother, Merlin Vice (Cris) of Pueblo, Colorado; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 2 to 4 pm at Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler's West Center Chapel. Services are Monday, 11 am, West Center Chapel. Private interment.
