\McCOOK, Nebraska -- Red Willow County, Nebraska, commissioners will discuss contracting the duties of the director of the county tourism board during their weekly meeting Monday morning in the commissioners' office on the third floor of the courthouse in McCook.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m.; the item dealing with the tourism director is scheduled at 9:45 a.m.
At 10 a.m., county surveyor Gary Dicenta will present commissioners with revised flood plain management regulations, and discuss signing quality assurance procedures for bridge inspections.
At 11 a.m., commissioners will make a decision regarding allowing the West Central Nebraska Development District to administer the county's community development block grant economic development funds and revolving loan program. Reports to commissioners include an update on CDBG loans.
At 10:45 a.m., the board will watch a 23-minute video called "Beyond the Myths -- The Jail in Your Community." During the consent agenda, commissioners will authorize chairman Earl McNutt to sign a proposal for a schematic design phase of the jail feasibility study. At 9:15 a.m., the board will go into closed session to discuss the purchase of properties at 520 Norris, which is part of the possible building site of a new county jail.
