MCCOOK, Nebraska -- Laura McCarty of McCook and Kaleb Nielsen-Sheffield of Rapid City, South Dakota were united in marriage June 4, 2011 at McCook Christian Church, with Pastor Clark Bates and Pastor Jason VanPelt officiating.

Parents of the couple are Chris and Leeann McCarty of McCook, Rick Engellant and Rebecca Nielsen Engellant of Geraldine, Montana and John and Kari Sheffield of McCook.

The matron-of-honor was sister of the bride, Amanda Neel, of McCook. The bridesmaids were Ashley Noltensmeier of McCook, Lizz Weidner of Kearney, Nebraska, Elizabeth Nielsen-Sheffield, sister of the bridegroom, of Geraldine, and Erica McCarty, sister-in-law of the bride, of Omaha, Nebraska.

The best man was brother of the bride, Matthew McCarty, of McCook. The groomsmen were Jonathon Sander, Levi Dexter, Luke Wainofer, all of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Erik Nielsen-Sheffield, brother of the bridegroom, of Geraldine.

The flower girl was Lily Maynard, cousin of the bride, of McCook.

The ushers were Josh Gates and Josh Keenportz, both of McCook, and brothers of the bride, Andrew McCarty of Covina, California, Nathan McCarty of Omaha, and Joseph McCarty of McCook.

The bride's personal attendants were Eva Giebler of Cimarron, Kansas and Rachel Crockett of Dodge City, Kansas. The guest book attendant was Betsy Hardin of McCook.

The pianist was Karen Lieske of McCook, piano teacher of the couple. Vocalists were Erin Kelley of Indianola, Nebraska and Stephen Smock of McCook.

A reception was at the McCarty home in McCook. Host couples were Neal and Margie Hauxwell and Jerry and Cheri Beckenhauer, all of McCook. The cake attendants were Jeannie Hauxwell, Susan Hardin, and Sarah McCarty, sister-in-law of the bride, all of McCook.

After a honeymoon in Branson, Missouri, the couple is residing in Rapid City where the bridegroom is a student at South Dakota School of Mines and is employed at Olive Garden and the bride is employed at WalMart.
