Frontier fair fun

Frontier County, Nebraska, 4-H'ers Victoria Phillips, left, and Rachel Lashley compete in archery contests Wednesday afternoon, during the 125th annual Frontier County Fair in Stockville. 4-H activities continue through the weekend, and the fair includes fun stuff for everyone -- today, ventriloquist Greg Claassen and dog races, starting at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, demo derby, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, parade, 1 p.m., 4-H livestock sale, 2 p.m., free barbecue, 6-7:30 p.m. and country singer Mark Wills, 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, rodeo slack, 9 a.m., sand volleyball and the Marv Andrijeski Memorial antique tractor and pickup pull, 10 a.m., working dog show, 11 a.m., horseshoe tournament, 2 p.m., and a Nebraska State Rodeo Association rodeo, 7:30 p.m. The carnival runs from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m., today, and from 5 p.m. until midnight, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
