Caitlin Marie Schaffert and Kiley Ray Roundtree, both of Parks, Nebraska, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Paul and Pat Schaffert of Indianola, Nebraska, and Tom and Julie Roundtree of Parks, Nebraska.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are the late Melvin and Edna Schaffert and the late Elmer and Elaine Bjorklund.

Grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are Edith Roundtree of Benkelman, Nebraska, and the late Rex Roundtree, Beverly Hansen of Sun City West, Arizona, and the late Jack Moore.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 Republican Valley High School graduate. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Doane College in 2008 and studied plant pathology at Kansas State University before moving to Parks in 2010. She works at Farm Bureau Financial Services in Benkelman.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2003 Dundy County High School graduate. He received his Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics and a minor in animal science from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2007. Since returning to Parks he has started his own cattle operation.

A July 2, 2011, wedding is planned, 4 p.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook, Nebraska.
