TRENTON, Nebraska -- Eleanor J. Brown, 94, died Thursday (April 28, 2011) at El Dorado Manor in Trenton.

She was born June 15, 1916, in Oxford, Nebraska to Howard D. and Bertha Mae (Riley) Keller. As an infant she moved with her family to Trenton where she attended school and graduated from Trenton High School.

On March 21, 1936, Eleanor was united in marriage to George E. Brown, in Oberlin, Kansas. To this union five daughters were born.

In addition to being a homemaker and raising her family, Eleanor was an Avon representative for more than 27 years in the Trenton area.

She was preceded in death by her husband George; daughters, Sandra Knapp and Marcia Brown; eight brothers; two sisters; and two sons-in-law, Dennis Lewis and Denis Weber.

Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Lewis of Trenton, Donna Whetstone of Hamden, Ohio, and Connie Skeels of Grant, Nebraska; sister, Evelyn Atwood of Englewood, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside inurnment services are Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Trenton Cemetery with Johnny Walker officiating.

There is no visitation or viewing.

Forch Funeral Chapel of Benkelman is in charge of the arrangements.
