Julie Elizabeth Gumb and Edgar Noah Alconera, both of Broomall, Pennsylvania, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the bride-to-be are John and Nancy Gumb of McCook, Nebraska. Her grandparents are Joyce Gumb of Fremont, Nebraska, and Betty Hoppe-Stevens of Farnam, Nebraska.

Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Edgardo and Princesita Alconera of Broomall.

The bride-to-be graduated from McCook High School in 2000 and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in English. She received her teaching certificate from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2005 and is currently working towards her master's degree in reading, through Edinboro College in Pennsylavania.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Marple Newtown High School in Broomall, Pennsylvania, in 2001. He graduated from Penn State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in supply chain management and is currently working as a senior sourcing specialist for Sunoco, Inc.

A July 3, 2011, wedding is scheduled at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha, Nebraska.
