UPDATE: Palisade credit union robbed

Monday, April 18, 2011 ~ Updated 4:25 PM

PALISADE, Nebraska -- Hitchcock County and Southwest Nebraska law enforcement officials were looking for a dark green or black car used as the get-away vehicle in an armed robbery this morning at the Pioneer Community Federal Credit Union in downtown Palisade about 9:50 a.m., today.

The Nebraska State Patrol has confirmed that they have a suspect in custody. Additional information will be released by that agency Tuesday morning.

Reports shortly after the incident were that no one in the bank was injured.

A rural Palisade man who was entering the post office told another Palisade resident that he saw a man wearing a mask leave the bank and, as police car sirens approached, run to a car waiting in the alley.

  • So how/where did they find the robber(s)?
