McCOOK, Nebraska -- Red Willow County, Nebraska, commissioners will discuss two road projects during their regular weekly meeting scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., Monday, in the commissioners' room on the third floor of the courthouse at 502 Norris Ave. in downtown McCook.
At 10 a.m., commissioners will discuss the "McCook West" project south of the Perry elevator west of McCook and the "McCook North" project north of McCook on East 11th with Karl Elmshaeuser, the county's responsible charge person for federal aid projects.
At 9:15 a.m., commissioners and county treasurer Marleen Garcia will conduct a board of equalization meeting to make tax roll corrections and accept/deny motor vehicle tax exemption applications. Immediately following the public hearing and back in regular session, commissioners will take action on the two agenda items.
The consent agenda includes:
* A list of items from the county clerk's office to be declared surplus property.
* Appointment of Jana Kmoch to replace Pauletta Gerver on the county Health Board. Kmoch's term will end April 2014.
* Appointment of Nic Schilling to the county Extension board; his term will expire December 2013.
Reports to be discussed are an update on the county's CDBG (revolving loan fund) accounts and the county treasurer's delinquent tax list.
