OBERLIN, Kansas -- JoAnn Ufford, 78, died Thursday (Feb. 24, 2011), at her residence in Oberlin, Kansas.
She was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Red Willow County, Nebraska, to George and Sarah (Bolin) Lincoln. She was raised in Oberlin and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1950.
On Oct. 28, 1949, she married Calvin R. Ufford in Oberlin. They lived in Oberlin, Hiawatha and Overbrook, Kansas.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Overton, and the Mini-Sappa Antique Club in Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Michael in 1951.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin of Oberlin; a son, Richard and wife, Wendy Ufford of Carbondale, Kansas; a daughter, Janie and husband, Rob Rutherford of Berryton, Kansas; a brother, Charles and wife, Donna Lincoln of Oberlin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are Monday, 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Linda Willey officiating. Interment will follow at the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, 1-8 p.m., and Monday, 8 a.m., until the time of the service.
Memorials may be left to the JoAnn Ufford Memorial Fund for Oberlin Civic Clubs.
