Bison lineman headed to Coyote country

McCook High School senior Derek Chancellor will join the University of South Dakota football program next fall. Chancellor signed a letter of intent to play football for the NCAA Division I Coyotes in ceremonies Wednesday, Feb. 2, at McCook High School. Pictured from left are Derek's parents, Ken and Rose Chancellor, Derek Chancellor and McCook head football coach Jeff Gross. Chancellor signed his letter of intent in front of a banner of the Dakota Dome, South Datota's home football stadium in Vermillion, S.D. Chancellor is a 6-for-6, 300-pound all-state offensive lineman for the Bison last season who will graduate from McCook High School this spring.
