McCarty, Neel exchange vows

Amanda and Joshua Neel
McCOOK, Nebraska -- Amanda McCarty and Joshua Neel, both of McCook, were united in marriage on Nov. 13, 2010, at the McCook Christian Church with the Rev. Clark Bates officiating.

Parents of the couple are Christopher and Leeann McCarty and Donald and Patricia Neel, all of McCook. Grandparents of the bride are Inger Jacobs of McCook and Nadena McCarty of Sidney, Nebraska. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Margaret Gates of Palisade, Nebraska, and Margaret Neel of McCook.

The maid of honor was sister of the bride, Laura McCarty of McCook. The personal attendant was sister-in-law of the bride, Erica McCarty.

The best man was Andy Durner of McCook.

The ushers were brothers of the bridegroom, Ira Neel, Tyler Neel and Bret Neel, all of McCook, and brothers of the bride, Nathan McCarty of Omaha, Matthew McCarty and Joseph McCarty, both of McCook.

The flower girl was cousin of the bride, Lily Maynard of McCook. The ring bearer was cousin of the bridegroom, James Neel of McCook.

The guest book attendant was cousin of the bridegroom, JoAnn Neel of McCook. Music was provided by pianist Karen Lieske of McCook.

A reception took place immediately following at the McCook Christian Church. The cake servers were Margie Hauxwell of McCook, aunt of the bride, Angela McCarty of McCook, and aunt of the bridegroom, Joyce Neel of McCook. The wedding cake was made and decorated by grandmother of the bridegroom, Margaret Gates of Palisade.

The bride works at McCook Christian Church and the bridegroom works as a farmer.

The couple resides east of McCook.
