Schmidt, Darling wed
BRECKENRIDGE, Colorado -- Lindsay Janelle Schmidt of Columbus, Nebraska and Talon Shea Darling of McCook were united in marriage on Sept. 10, 2010, at Sapphire Point in Breckenridge, Colorado with Kevin Darling officiating.
Parents of the couple are Roger and Linda Schmidt of Columbus, and Kevin and Tami Darling of McCook.
Grandparents of the bride are Harold and Marie Alms of Columbus, and Germane Schmidt of Columbus. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Gene and Jan Mahon of McCook, the late Gary Shepherd, John Darling of Casa Grande, Arizona, and the late Shirley Darling.
The maid of honor was sister of the bride, Kelsey Schmidt of Columbus. The bridesmaids were sister of the bridegroom, Tristan Darling of Lincoln, Nebraska, and sister-in-law of the bride, Jill Schmidt of Brighton, Colorado.
The best man was Cody Dame of McCook. The bridegroomsmen were Brett Montey of Gillette, Wyoming, and brother of the bride, Scott Schmidt of Brighton.
The flower girl was Natalie Dame of McCook. The ring bearer was nephew of the bride, Ty Schmidt of Brighton.
A reception took place at Whispering Pines Townhome in Breckenridge.
The bride graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2007 with a degree in international studies, Spanish and nursing. She is employed at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado as a charge nurse.
The bridegroom graduated from Southeast Community College with a degree in law enforcement and from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center. He is employed at the Wheat Ridge Police Department in Wheat Ridge, Colorado as a police officer.
The couple plans to honeymoon in Montu Picchu, Peru next fall and resides in Denver, Colorado.
