Nuss, Meyers exchange vows

Natalie and Derek Meyers
HASTINGS, Nebraska -- Natalie Alicia Nuss of Sutton, Nebraska and Derek Michael Meyers of Indianola, Nebraska were united in marriage on Aug. 14, 2010, at the Hastings College French Memorial Chapel in Hastings with the Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating.

Parents of the couple are Michael and Linda Nuss of Sutton, and Kent and Deb Meyers of McCook. Grandparents of the bride are Donna Wacker of Edgar, Nebraska, the late Lorenz Wacker, and the late Joseph and Lois Nuss. The grandparents of the bridegroom are Richard and Marilyn Koetter of McCook, and the late Hugh and Helen Meyers.

The Matrons of honor were sisters of the bride, Stacy Riley of Columbus, Nebraska and Andrea Davenport of Paxton, Nebraska. The bridesmaids were Christine Wigert of Omaha, Nebraska, Heidi Smidt of Pauleen, Nebraska, and Kelly Robenhagen of Fort Collins, Colorado. The bride's personal attendant was Hannah Swink of Kearney, Nebraska.

The best man was Todd Downer of Bartley, Nebraska. The bridegroomsmen were Chad Stewart of Indianola, Mitchel Hamilton of McCook, Mason Nelms of Indianola, and Lucas Ruggles of Bartley.

The flower girls were niece of the bridegroom, Jaci Meyers of McCook, and niece of the bride, Alexis Davenport of Paxton. The ring bearer was nephew of the bridegroom, Wyatt Meyers. The Bible bearer was nephew of the bride, Samuel Davenport of Paxton.

The ushers were brother-in-law of the bride, Rustin Riley of Columbus, brothers of the bridegroom, Jeremy Meyers of Indianola, and Ryan Meyers of McCook, and Brandon Kisker of McCook.

The guest book and program attendants were sister of the bridegroom, Erin Meyers of Curtis, Nebraska, and Emilie Powers of Hastings.

Music was provided by vocalist and brother of the bridegroom, Jason Meyers of McCook.

A reception took place immediately following at the Quality Inn in Hastings. The host couples were cousins of the bride, Mandi and Brandon Chase of Mead, Colorado, and aunt and uncle of the bridegroom, Mellisa and Doug Koetter of McCook. The cake servers were aunt of the bride, Martha Wacker of Edgar, and sisters-in-law of the bridegroom, Staci Meyers of McCook and Bambi Meyers of Indianola.

The bride graduated from Hastings College in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Arts in business administration and works at Southwest Public Schools as a Junior/Senior High secretary. The bridegroom graduated from Republican Valley High School in 2003. He owns and operates Meyers Custom Spreading and farms near Indianola.

The couple honeymooned in Riveria Maya, Mexico and resides on their farm west of Indianola.
