Estes, Nelms marry

INDIANOLA, Nebraska -- Kalli Cassandra Estes of Anselmo, Nebraska and Mason Andrew Nelms of Indianola, Nebraska were united in marriage on June 19, 2010, in a canyon behind the couple's home near Indianola with the Rev. Kevin Schnakenberg officiating.

Parents of the couple are Larry and Karla of Anselmo and Merritt and Susan Nelms of Indianola. Grandparents of the bride are Charles "Bill" Estes of Anselmo, the late Margie Estes, and Claude and Charlene Rhoades of Anselmo. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Dona Nelms of Bartley, Nebraska, the late Max Nelms, and the late Lonnie and Lorraine Morosic.

The matrons of honor were sisters of the bride, Tara Russell of Broken Bow, Nebraska and Holly Bumgarner of Merna, Nebraska. The bridesmaids were Christina Brezack of Lincoln, Nebraska, Megan Sommer of Merna, Lyndesy Simonton of Broken Bow, and niece of the bride, Kassandra Russell of Broken Bow. The bride's personal attendant was Mackenzie Brewer of Hazel Green, Kentucky.

The best man was Melvin Wright of Indianola. The bridegroomsmen were Derek Meyers of Indianola, Steven Salas of Bartley, Nebraska, Chris Quigley of Indianola, Shawn Daffer of North Platte, Nebraska, and nephew of the bridegroom, Christian Nelms of Lincoln.

The flower girls were niece of the bride, Sydney Estes of Bayard, Nebraska, and nieces of the bridegroom, Atleigh Nelms of Omaha, Nebraska, and Kyra and Annika Nelms of Lincoln. The ring bearers were nephews of the bride, Wesley Estes of Bayard, and Bode Bumgarner and Jake Bumgarner of Merna, and nephew of the bridegroom, Caleb Heskett of Atwood, Kansas.

The ushers were nephews of the bride, Kolton and Karson Russell of Broken Bow, brother-in-law of the bride, Kent Russell of Broken Bow, Brandon Kisker of McCook, Nebraska, Andrew Uerling of Lincoln, brother-in-law of the bride, Darrick Bumgarner of Merna, Mitch Hamilton of McCook, and brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Jeremy Heskett of Atwood, Kansas.

The guest book and program attendants were Mallory Wittstruck of Lincoln, Chelsea Piitz of Lincoln, Molly Spanel of Anselmo, and Kayla Porter of Merna. Music was provided by Patsy Fisher of Indianola.

A reception took place at the Republican River Valley Event Center in McCook. The host couples were aunt and uncle of the groom, Alanna and Joe Morosic, Sharon and Jeff Wordekemper, Pam and Greg Wolford, aunt and uncle of the bride, Donna and Alan Holcomb, cousins of the bride, Diane and Steve Campbell, and aunt of the bride, Judy Sikes.

The bride graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2010 and works for Great Western Bank in McCook as a Personal Banking Representative.

The bridegroom graduated from Northeast Community College in 2007 and is farming near Indianola.

The couple honeymooned with a week long trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon and resides near Indianola.
