Area board appointees top City Council's agenda

McCOOK, Nebraska -- The mayor will ratify appointees for several area boards and commissions Monday evening, 7:30 p.m., at the City Council's semi-monthly meeting at council chambers.

Among those the Airport Advisory Commission, the Board of Zoning Adjustment, Building Advisory and Appeals Board and the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. The Airport Advisory Commission will see Richard Stull reappointed and Wally Hampton appointed.

The Board of Zoning Adjustment will have Keith Delano reappointed and Jerry Reitz will be appointed to the Building Advisory and Appeals Board. Peggy Appleyard will be reappointed to the Senior Citizens Advisory Board and Joyce Hofman and Gene Meints will be appointed.

The McCook Economic Development Corp. has requested the mayor also approve the nominations of Kent Craw, Doug Skiles, Dale Dueland, Lonnie Anderson and James Coady as appointees for the LB 840 Loan Committee which is to review loan requests made to the MEDC under the LB 840 program.

Other items on the consent and regular agenda:

* An ordinance authorizing the sale of two city properties to Howard and Barbara Musgrave and Paul Monzon will be read for its third and final reading needed for approval.

* Review of a proclamation designating Oct. 3-9 as Fire Prevention Week.

* The city will present its snow and ice control and removal policies for the Council's approval.

* W Design Associates for Engineering Services will be considered for selection to head up street improvement projects on East H street.
