OBERLIN, Kansas -- Ardith Rose Wayne, 76, died Monday (July 26, 2010) in Oberlin.
She was born June 23, 1934, in Madison, Nebraska to Arthur and Rosa (Sundermann) Just. She was raised in Madison where she went to Lutheran Parochial School and Madison High School.
She lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Wray, Colorado and Oberlin.
She was the treasurer for the City of Oberlin and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Wheatridge Board.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Arthur and Rosa Just; sisters, Laura Just, Wilma Hanson, and Marilyn Forsberg; and ex-husband Erwin Luedders.
She is survived by her sons, Pat Leudders and wife, Sheila of Rantoul, Kansas, and Chris Luedders and wife, Rebecca of Hays, Kansas; daughter, Natalie Merica of Clay Center, Kansas; sister, Adelyn Praeuner of Battlecreek, Nebraska; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services are Thursday, 2 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Kevin Schnakenberg officiating. Interment will be at Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday, 8-10 a.m., at the funeral home with visitation at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service.
