Public's help sought in locating bank robber

VILLISCA, Iowa -- Special Agent in Charge Wyesan Dun, announced today that the Omaha FBI and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who wore a white dusk mask and black ball cap during a bank robbery yesterday at 3:00 p.m. The robber is described as a white male, approximately 5'8" to 5'10", 160 pounds, with a shaved head and beard stubble. He was wearing a black ball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt bearing a large unknown multi-colored logo on the back of the t-shirt and was wearing dark colored running shoes with partially red soles. After the robbery, he was allegedly last seen at a nearby convenient store without the sweatshirt on and wearing eyeglasses. The robber was last seen driving a white 4-door mid-size vehicle, possibly a Pontiac.

The bank robber showed the bank teller a note and implied he had a hand gun. This individual should be considered Armed and Dangerous. The bank's surveillance cameras captured photographs of the lone bank robber as he robbed the Bank Iowa in Villisca, Iowa.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the charging and arrest of this robber. This individual should be considered Armed and Dangerous. If you have information about this robbery, please call the FBI Office at 402-493-8688.

  • Closer to home, I heard there was a robbery and stabbing at a fast food place in Imperial. True? If so did they catch the guy or are McCookites in any danger of him coming to McCook?
