Watkins, Strope engagement
Alicia Watkins and Ryan Strope of Elm Creek announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the couple are Wayne and Lori Watkins of McCook and Floyd and Rhonda Strope of Winnetoon. Grandparents of the couple are Frank and Betty Potthoff of Palisade, Darlene Rosane of Kyle, South Dakota and Ray and Betty Oltjenbruns of Creighton, Nebraska.
The bride-to-be graduated from McCook High School in 2002 and the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Kearney with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing in 2007. She is employed by Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Creighton High School and a 2007 graduate of Wayne State College with a Bachelors Degree in business finance. He is employed by the Farm Service Agency in Kearney as a farm loan officer.
A July 17, 2010, wedding is planned at the First Congregational Church in McCook with an outdoor reception at the Lighthouse Marina at Hugh Butler Lake.
