Hayes Country receives grant

LINCOLN, Nebraska -- The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) has awarded $16,100 in 2009 Community Development Block Grant third cycle and 191,200 in 2010 CDBG first cycle funding to six communities and two counties for Planning efforts, and $1.140 million in 2010 CDBG funding to three communities for Phase I and II Downtown Revitalization efforts.

Among those receiving first cycle CDBG funding was Hayes County, which will receive $50,000 to undertake a comprehensive planning study

The grants are all part of Nebraska's annual allocation of CDBG funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Funds are administered by DED.
