BIRD CITY, Kansas -- Hope Bressler, 94, of Bird City, Kansas died Sunday (May 23, 2010), at Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis, Kansas.

She was born April 26, 1916 in Washington County, Colorado.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie in 1985; two sons, Robert in 1990, and Rex in 1998; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

She is survived by her daughter, Shryll Behn of Evergreen, Colorado; half-brother, Albert Miller of McCook, Nebraska; half-sister, Alice Felker of Sacremento, California; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Bird City. Burial will be at the Bird City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service at the Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis.

Memorials can be given in her honor for Thresher Association and Cheylin School Foundation through Century II Foundation of Bird City.

Knodel Funeral Home in Bird City is in charge of arrangements.
