He graduated from Danbury High School in 1946 and served in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge after serving in Korea.
Following his graduation from the University of Denver with a degree in business, he worked for the Air Force Audit Agency until his retirement.
In 1954, he married Margaret Fletcher in Palisade.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; his parents; and his brother, Wayne.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; son William; daughters, Katherine and Carolyn; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
