Public invited to meeting Thursday on building plans

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

McCOOK, Nebraska -- A special meeting of the McCook City Council will be 7 p.m., Thursday, at the Heritage Senior Center, concerning new city facilities for a fire station, police department and city offices.

Mayor Dennis Berry will open the meeting, followed by council comments. An overview of the proposed projects will be presented and after a public discussion, the audience will be asked if they support several concepts regarding the projects, such as: the construction of fire, police and administration facilities; if one or both projects are favored; an increase in property tax to pay for the facilities, or the use of sales tax to pay for projects.
