GRAND ISLAND -- Adwilda "Dodie" Roggenkamp, 94, formerly of Minden, died Friday (April 2, 2010) at St. Francis Skilled Nursing in Grand Island.

She was born Jan. 17, 1916, south of Upland to Wilfrid and Mary (L'Heureux) Choquette. She grew up in the Upland area and graduated from Upland High School with the class of 1934.

On Feb. 11, 1934, she married Richard Roggenkamp and lived and farmed in the Upland area. She moved into Minden in 1965. Her husband died in 1974. She moved to Grand Island 13 years ago.

She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Minden and St. John's Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Joseph, Emile, Ovile, and Phileas Choquette; and four sisters, Alma Boudreau, Edna Roy, Alice Choquette and Jeanette Sindt.

Survivors include her two sons, Ronald Roggenkamp and wife, Joyce of Lincoln and Guy Roggenkamp and wife, Sharon of Grand Island; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with the Rev. Nicholas Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery.

Visitation is today at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden, 3-4 p.m. Rosary will be recited at the church at 7 p.m.
