GLASGOW, Ky. -- Rita Rose Oswald, 88, of Glasgow, Ky., died Saturday (Feb. 27, 2010) at the NHC Healthcare Center in Glasgow, Ky.
Born in Lawrence she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Maggie Hartman Walz and the wife of the late John Oswald. Mrs. Oswald attended the St Helen's Catholic Church in Glasgow.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Oswald and wife, Barbara and John Oswald and wife, Nancy, all of Glasgow, Ky.; one daughter, Corrine Wilson and husband, Bob of Henderson, Nev.; one brother, Walter Walz of Washington State; one sister, Pat Neubauer of Iowa; six grandchildren, Ray Fredericksen, Tim Wilkins, Tiffany Wilkins, Scott Oswald, John F. Oswald and Kristine Evans; four great-grandchildren Alexis Oswald, Jack and Jordan Fredericksen, Summer Evans; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2010, from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Rosary to follow at 5:30 p.m., both at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday March 6, 2010, at the St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola with burial in St. Catherine's cemetery.
