Something for everyone at this weekend's Home and Leisure Show

From computers and canoes, to siding and saunas, there will be something for everyone at the Home and Leisure Show this weekend at the Army Reserve Training Center, 400 Airport Road.

The event will bring together about 65 vendors under one roof, beginning Friday from 4-8 p.m. and continuing Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food will also be available with Catering Plus.

"It's just great entertainment for an afternoon," said Pam Harsh, executive director the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce, that sponsors the event.

"It's a great, inexpensive way to spend an afternoon with family and friends."

It's also a good way to get in on what's new in home repair and recreation. Vendors include local businesses as well as those from the Lincoln area, Colorado and Kansas, all with the newest products from in their field.

So if you're looking to renovate now or later, the Home and Leisure Show is a way to check out what's available, Harsh said, with many vendors offering free samples and special drawings.

There will also be a special section at the show for home-based businesses and crafters.

Admission is $2, with children 12 and under free.

Each paid admission comes with an automatic entry for two, $250 gift certificates, redeemable with vendors at the show.
