McDONALD -- Duane Paul Wilkens, 57, died Friday (Feb. 5, 2010), at Valley View Senior Life Center in Junction City, Kan.
He was born Sept. 11, 1952, at McCook.
He was a feed store owner and a veteran of the U.S. armed services.
Survivors include son, Tyrone Wilkens of Manhattan, Kan.; daughters, Ashley Wilkins of Kansas City, Kan., and Amanda Watkins of Hays, Kan.; brothers, Ardene Wilkens of Hays and Danny Wilkins of Johnson Lake; a sister, Diane Moro of Milford, N.H.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. CST Tuesday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bird City. Burial, with military graveside service by Naval Honor Guard, will follow at Grace Cemetery in McDonald.
A wake is set for 7 p.m., today at the church.
Visitation is today until 5 p.m., at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis.
A memorial has been established in his name.
Knodel Funeral Home of St. Francis is in charge of arrangements.
