Siloam Spring, Ark. -- Velma "Vicky" Maxine Berry, 85, died Friday (Jan. 22, 2010) at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was born April 23, 1924, in Palisade the daughter of Max J. Welk and Grace R. Meints Welk. She owned and operated Vicky's Café in Broomfield, Colo.

She was a member of the Hospital's Auxiliary and the Lutheran Church in McCook.

On Nov. 17, 1946, she married Orley W. Berry in Culbertson.

She was was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Dorothea Seifert and Ester Welk; and one son, Terrance L. Berry.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Young and husband Jim, and Brenda Corners and husband Ron, all of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two sons, DeLynn Berry and wife, Deborah of Centennial, Colo. and Max Berry and wife, April of Evergreen, Colo.; one brother, Herman R. "Bob" Welk of Parker, Colo.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were Tuesday Jan. 26, 2010, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Dr. Randy Rowlan officiating.
