WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. -- Richard "Dick" W. Miller, 86, died Jan. 17, 2010, at Wheat Ridge, Colo.
He was born Oct. 4, 1924, at Palisade, to Floyd and Mable Miller.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946, spending one year in Korea.
He worked for Safeway stores in the Denver area, retiring after many years of service.
He was a lifetime member of the Palisade Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7028.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Warren, Marion and Paul; and two sisters, Doris Magorian and Evelyn Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ardith Miller; two daughters, LaDonna and husband, Frank True of Aurora, Colo., and Linda and husband, Jim Grimshaw of Sarasota, Fla.; a son, David and wife, Toni Miller of Austin, Colo.; a sister, Elizabeth Hayward of Longmont, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Bertha Miller and Nelda and her husband, Harlan Waugh; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service took place Jan. 21, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro Chapel in Lakewood, Colo., with the Revs. Joe Taylor and William J. Senn III officiating.
