PIKETON, Ohio -- Theresa Marie Rose (VonLoh) Egge, 92, died Thursday (Jan. 21, 2010) at the Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon, Ohio.

She was born on Jan. 22, 1917, in Stratton, Colo., to William and Mary (Hany) Schutz. She grew up north of the Salem area, south of Elwood, where she attended parochial school.

On March 3, 1940, she married LaVern VonLoh. She lived south of Elwood and farmed until LaVern's death in 1977. She then married Dale Egge and lived in Holdrege. She worked in the kitchen at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, in Beaver City as a waitress at the cafe and at Becton Dickinson Company in Holdrege. In 1944 she moved to Waverly, Ohio.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Mission League of Arapahoe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, M. LaVern VonLoh and Dale Egge; one son, Leroy VonLoh and two infant granchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Carol and husband, Don Wendland of Arapahoe; two sons, Terry VonLoh of Waverly, Ohio and Gerald and wife, Lynn VonLoh of Hollywood, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Della Mae VonLoh of Arapahoe; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday (Jan. 23, 2010), 2 p.m., at Salem West Lutheran Cemetery in Elwood with the Rev. James Moshier officiating.
