OBERLIN -- Alice L. May, 90, died Tuesday (Jan. 12, 2010) at Oberlin.
She was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Decatur County to Walter and Lela (Lemman) Rezner. She grew up on a farm in Sappa Township, attended Logan Country Grade School and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1936.
She lived on a farm northwest of Oberlin, was a homemaker, former teacher and DCHS head cook.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Progressive Homemaker's Unit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents, Walter and Lela Rezner; four siblings, Walter W. Rezner, LeeOra Carlson, Doris Staack and Maurine Hartman.
Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Bremer and husband, John of Oberlin; one sister, Lois Carlson of Oberlin; and two grandaughters.
Memorial services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Kevin Schnackenberg officiating. Interment will follow at Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Saturday, 8 a.m. until service time, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin.
Memorials may be given to the Good Samaritan Van Maintenance Fund.
