Parents of the couple are Wayne and Lori Watkins of McCook, and Gary Johnson of Tryon. Grandparents are Frank and Betty Potthoff of Palisade, and Darlene Rosane of Kyle, S.D.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of McCook High School, and a December 2009 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of McPherson County High School in Tryon, and a 2003 graduate of Mid Plains Community College. He is employed at Parker Hannifin as an electrician.

A Jan. 23,2010 ceremony is planned at the McCook Christian Church, in McCook, with a reception at the Red Willow County Community Building.
