OBERLIN -- Lora Zwickle, 94, died Monday (Jan. 4, 2010) at the Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin.
She was born July 24, 1916, in Danbury to Tom Cox and Nettie Fisher.
She was raised in Danbury, Lebanon and Traer, Kan., and graduated from Traer High School in 1933.
On Feb. 24, 1934, she married Walter Zwickle in Atwood.
She resided in Herndon and Oberlin and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Zwickle; her parents, Thomas and Harriet Cox; four brothers; six sisters and one grandson.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Zwickle and wife, Phyllis of Oberlin; her daughter Phyllis Nicholson of Salina, Kan.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Judi Stricker officiating. Interment will follow at Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. until service time.
Memorials may be given to United Church of Oberlin, Golden Age Center and Special Olympics.
