The McCook Trail Committee expressed thanks to Hillcrest Nursing Home and Lifetime Eyecare for cosponsoring the additional piece of equipment, an AirWalk, above, which was requested by the committee. This piece is to be installed to the west of the playground in Kelley Park, just up the hill from the new section of trail. This will provice the opportunity for an adult or two to get some aerobic exercise while supervising their kid(s) playing on the playground equipment. Two pieces of equipment were received instead of one. This has created both a challenge and an opportunity. The challenge is to come up with a single or co- sponsorship in the amount of $750 to purchase and install this piece or return it. The opportunity is to install this piece of equipment either toward the other end of the trail or along side the playground at Barnett Park. If interested or for more information, please contact Tor Olson at (308) 350-0643 as soon as possible. "We need to have the additional sponsorship secured by Jan. 30," he said. The exercise equipment previously purchased was acquired through a challenge based on a grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield and cooperative sponsorships from McCook businesses and citizens for each piece of equipment. Sponsorship signage similar to what was included for the Disc Golf course is to be installed after all pieces have been installed.
