OBERLIN -- Gwendolyn Jean Quaduor Farr, 78, died Tuesday (Dec. 15, 2009), at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
She was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Cambridge, to Rudolph Henry Quaduor and Delma Faye Keeney. She grew up on the family farm north of Lebanon and attended Lebanon schools.
On June 7, 1948, she married Kenneth Boyd Farr, in Oberlin. She was a homemaker and resided on their farm northeast of Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny; father, Rudy; brother, Edward Quaduor; grandson, Kalo Farr; son-in-law, Bobby Hargitt and daughter-in-law Dora Farr.
Survivors include her mother, Faye Quaduor of Danbury; sons Rodney Farr and wife, Fonda of Oberlin, Mitchel Farr and wife, Candy of McCook, Billy Farr and wife, Alma of North Platte and Jerry Farr and wife, Nicole of Oberlin; daughters Rose Hargitt and husband, Ron Leitner of Herndon, and Christine Stauter and husband, Michael of Bloomington, Ill; brother Robert Quaduor and wife, Connie of Danbury; 23 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be tomorrow (Dec. 18, 2009), 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment to follow at Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is today 1 p.m. - 8 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
