KEARNEY -- Claude W. Warren, 78, died Friday (Nov. 6, 2009) surrounded by his family at St. John's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney.
He was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Benkelman, to Ernest E. and Thelma Dee (O'Dell) Warren.
On March 4, 1950, he married Thelma Irene Greening in Fort Morgan, Colo. She died in 1998.
He worked as a truck driver and also served as the vice president of the Teamsters Union, Local 554 in Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his wife; infant granddaughter, Jennifer Anne Weaver; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Jo and husband, David Weaver, of Prairie Village, Kan., and Lorra Ann and husband, Sam Richards, of Kearney; son, Ernest William Warren, of Columbus; a brother, Ernest and wife, Elva Warren, Jr., of Eaton, Colo; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday, at 1 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services with his four grandchildren officiating. Private family burial will follow in Platteville, Colo.
There will be no visitation.
