Wolford, Wawrzynkiewicz wedding

Kate Ann Wolford of McCook and Jacob John Wawrzynkiewicz of Papillion were united in marriage on Aug. 8, 2009 at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook. Officiants for the ceremony were the Rev. Lance Clay, the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman and the Rev. Gary Brethour.

Parents of the couple are Greg and Pam Wolford of McCook and John and Patricia Wawrzynkiewicz of Papillion. Grandparents of the bride are Linda Linke of Cozad and the late Dale Linke and Wayne and Marcey Wolford of Cozad. The bridegroom's grandparents are Paul and Joan Wawrzynkiewicz and Frank Popelka of Omaha and the late Bernice Popelka.

Sarah Wolford, sister-in-law of the bride of McCook, served as matron of honor; Julia Lyons of McCook served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amber Wawrzynkiewicz, sister of the bridegroom, of Papillion, Megan Longshore, cousin of the bride of Hastings, Keri Waddle of Wakefield and Lindsey Horner and Jennifer Eckhardt, both of Lincoln.

Anthony Adam of Omaha served as the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Jeremy Grzywa, cousin of the bridegroom of Omaha and Adam Wolford, brother of the bride, of McCook, Michael Merwald, cousin of the bridegroom, of Omaha; Jeremy Williamson of Omaha, Andrew Ashelford of Lincoln and Keith Wysocki of Lincoln.

Madeline Maline of Elkhorn was the flower girl and Thomas and Michael Maline of Oakland were the ring bearers, all cousins of the bride.

Ushers were Philip and Ted Kocher, cousins of the bride, of Lincoln. Sharing ushering duties were Chris Onnen of Parker, Colo., Nick Wawrzykiewicz of Omaha and Matthew Papelka of Omaha, cousins of the bridegroom, as well as Logan Ginbey of Lincoln.

Candlelighters were Erin and Sarah Kocher, cousins of the bride, of Lincoln.

Honorary bridesmaids and personal attendants were Natalie Brooks of Omaha, Courtney Moore of Omaha, who also served as Scripture reader, Katherine Morell of Manhattan, Kan., and Jessica Watkins of Lincoln.

The organist was Christopher Lyons of Lincoln and the soloist was Adam Wolford.

Wedding coordinator was Jane Shield of McCook. Serving at the guest book were the bridegroom's cousins Katie Merwald, Amy and Stacy Kurtz, all of Omaha and Anica Onnen of Parker.

Program and door attendants was Ashley Linke of Cozad, cousin of the bride, and the bridegroom's cousins Emily Popelka, Kelsi Wawrzynkiewicz, and Haylee Wawrzynkiewicz, all of Omaha, Annie and Luke Wawrzynkiewicz of Hastings, plus Andrew and Daniel Popelka of Omaha.

Host couples were the bride's aunts and uncles, Steve and Danna Wolford of Hastings and Mike and Jodi Kocher of Lincoln; the bridegroom's aunts and uncles, Jim and Julianne Popelka, Tom and Candee Wawrzynkiewicz and Dave and Dyna Wawrzynkiewicz of Omaha; Dennis and Cora Berry, Todd and Dawn Foster, Todd and Shariel Thieszen, Randy and Kim Korgan, and Phil and Diane Lyons, all of McCook. Bob and Lynda Adam of Omaha hosted. Cake servers were aunts, Danna Wolford, Jodi Kocher, Karen Kurcz and Sandy Onnen.

The couple honeymooned in Jamaica immediately following the wedding. The couple is making their home in Lincoln where the bride is in dental school and the bridegroom is employed by Wisconsin Physician's Services of Omaha.
