The bride is the daughter of Bill and Kathleen Hidy of Elkart, Kan., and Barbara Hidy of Trenton. Grandparents are Vonda Hidy of Sun City, Ariz., the late Bob Hidy and Ted and Wanda Eaton of Sun City West.
The bridegroom is the son of Patrick Vest of Meade and Robert and Cathye Austin of Surprise, Ariz. He is the grandson of Mack and Sharon Boynton of Bend, Ore., and the late Allen and Pauline Vest.
Melissa Everitt of Bangor, Maine was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Bellisle of Lansing, Mich., Melissa Van Dyke of Jacksonville, Fla., and Colleen Medley of San Diego, Calif. The bride's personal attendant was Tana Foster of Virginia Beach.
Craig Freier of Fort Collins, Colo., was the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Patrick Vest, father of the bridegroom of Meade, Jeremy Vest, brother of the bridegroom of Groton, Conn., and Travis Vest, brother of the bridegroom of Rose Hill, Kan.
Olivea Vest, niece of the bridegroom of Groton, Conn., was the flowergirl and Brayden Vest, nephew of the bridegroom of Wichita, Kan., was the ring bearer.
Melissa Van Dyke, formerly of Benkelman, was the soloist.
Jon and Corina Snyder, cousins of the bride of Bellevue were guest book attendants and Madison Eaton, cousin of the bride of Arlington, Va., was the program attendant. Ushers were Kyle Hidy, brother of the bride of Lincoln, Jim Bellisle of Lansing, Mich., Wallis Osborn of Chicago, Ill., and Jeremy Bodley of Grants, N.M.
A reception, dinner and dance followed the ceremony at Shifting Sands on the beach in Virginia Beach. The host couple was Kevin and Mandy Sprenger of Virginia Beach.
After a honeymoon in Los Cabos, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Virginia Beach where the bride is employed by Stanley Associates, Inc in Norfolk as a test and evaluation aviation analyst and the bridegroom is serving in the United States Navy, stationed at NAS Oceana, Va.
